Life,

Ride Along

My friends, I don't feel I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for what is ahead. (Philippians 3:13)

I conversed with a Rep at AT&T and told her I was soon turning 30 (the whys are irrelevant for this story). Her response was how long before you start backpedaling (she was talking about falsifying my age). I laughed and said hopefully never. I stated that I hope I will inherit my mother's genes where I am able to look ten years younger at whatever age I am. Unfortunately, that will actually depend on keeping a healthy lifestyle (shot out to Ms. Christie Brinkley). I have backpedaled on decisions and relationships in my past but my future has been determined for me to move forward.

As I embark on 30, I have not made it to where I planned to be in life, but I refuse to look back. I have worked hard to learn the lessons I have learned, accept the blessings I have received and make the mistakes I have made.

Right now, I am living single, obtaining my Master's degree, have moved to a new town, started a blog, and started a new job. I know this will be a struggle, but I am speaking it into existence that I will be successful with my God-given talents and I will work hard to give everything my 100 percent. It is said you get out, what you put in.

  1. Amen! I'm only a year or two into the 30's category, but I can almost promise you'll enjoy 30 more than your 20's! Go get 'em! :)
